Finally, the long wait is over and Oppo Reno 10 is here. With massive changes in the new device compared to its predecessor the Oppo Reno 8.

The smartphone series, has continued to garner much attention for its premium features and sleek aesthetics.

In this review, we’ll delve into the key aspects of the Oppo Reno 10 to see if it lives up to the hype.

Key notable change is that the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G mobile platform and can support up to 8GB of RAM. This is a shift from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G incorporated in the Reno 8T.

With the inclusion of the company’s RAM expansion technology, which can transform unused ROM into additional RAM, the effective RAM capacity can be extended to 12GB.

Another notable change has been the increasing of the battery capacity to 5000mAh

Here are the key notables in this new device:

Display

The OPPO Reno 10 5G features a generous 6.7-inch curved-edge AMOLED display that boasts an impressive 120Hz refresh rate.

This combination of a spacious screen and fluid refresh rate delivers a highly enjoyable viewing experience.

Moreover, with a maximum brightness, the phone is perfectly usable outdoors, although under extremely bright sunlight, visibility might be somewhat compromised.

Throughout our testing, we rigorously evaluated the phone’s capabilities, engaging in activities such as playing games like dream league soccer, BGMI and Asphalt 9, binge-watching videos, and performing various tasks.

The display’s vivid colors and stellar performance significantly elevated our multimedia consumption experience. Furthermore, the curved edges and slim bezels encompassing the screen further contributed to an immersive viewing experience.

Performance

Under the hood, the Reno 10 is powered by the latest Mediatek Dimesity 7050 chipset, coupled with ample RAM and storage options.

If you re a fan of videos and lots of photos then the storage and large RAM might just be perfect for you as there is nothing like slow loading.

Whether you’re multitasking, gaming, or running demanding applications, this phone handles everything with ease. The Oxygen OS skin on top of Android provides a clean and responsive user interface.

OPPO Reno 10 Camera

The camera system on the Reno 10 is impressive but not groundbreaking.

The quad-camera setup, including a 108MP main sensor, produces sharp and detailed images in various lighting conditions.

The 64MP ultrawide lens and 32MP camera lens offer versatility, but the results are slightly inconsistent in low light.

The under-display front camera is a technological marvel, although selfies might not match the quality of rear-camera shots.

Battery Life

The device packs a sizable 5000mAh battery, which easily provides a full day’s usage on a single charge, even with heavy usage.

The 67W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging is a standout feature, juicing up the device to 80% in just 20 minutes.

I didn’t test the device on Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging but can be a welcome additions, to make the device more versatile.

My Verdict

The Oppo Reno 10 is undoubtedly a futuristic and feature-packed smartphone that appeals to tech enthusiasts and those who prioritize aesthetics.

Its stunning design, gorgeous display, powerful performance, and innovative camera technology make it a strong contender in the premium smartphone segment.

However, it falls slightly short in camera consistency and software refinement. If you’re willing to embrace the future of smartphone technology and can overlook these minor drawbacks, the Oppo Reno 10 is a device worth considering.
