Kenya’s vibrant Afro-Latin dance fraternity is set to reignite with the return of AfroLatin Tamasha 2.0, themed “Celebrating Rhythm, Culture & Connection.” Following the success of its inaugural edition and the “Dance & Vibes” experience, AfroLatin Tamasha makes its highly anticipated comeback on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at REDROOM, Adlife Plaza, Kilimani.
This year’s edition, a Pan-African cultural showcase, promises an unforgettable celebration that fuses African and Latin American rhythms. The event will bring together dancers, music lovers, and cultural enthusiasts from eight countries: Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, South Africa, Ghana, France, Tunisia, and Kenya.
Attendees can expect an immersive experience featuring live performances blending salsa, kizomba, bachata, semba, and afrobeats, alongside vibrant social dance sessions that highlight the energy of Africa’s top performers.
More than just entertainment, AfroLatin Tamasha 2.0 provides a platform to spotlight local and regional dancers, musicians, and choreographers while promoting wellness, connection, and cultural expression among its community of over 7,000 enthusiasts. The event seeks to strengthen links between artists across East and Southern Africa and continues to position Nairobi as a regional hub for Afro-Latin culture. It also supports artistic expression that contributes to the growth of Kenya’s creative economy.
The night’s electrifying live performance will feature Ritmo Connexion, a dynamic band of East African musicians known for masterfully blending Afro-Latin beats. Key performers include Mike Jozee, Sanchez Salvador, Niyo Boi, Shirleen Ishenyi, Keisha Harris, and Moses Karanja. The musical experience will be elevated by Nairobi’s top DJs—Jam Mixmaster Dan the DJ, DJ D’Cure, and DJ BRANN—who will keep the dance floor alive with Afrobeat, Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, Merengue, Kizomba, and Kompa. High-energy Afrobeat dancers will also deliver stunning visual performances.
Robert Munene, Founder of AfroLatin Tamasha, noted:
“AfroLatin Tamasha 2.0 is a significant step toward our broader mission—connecting artists across East and Southern Africa, promoting wellness through dance, and transforming rhythm into livelihood. This year’s experience promises even more excitement, showcasing the vibrant fusion of African and Latin cultures through music and dance, while reinforcing Nairobi’s place as a regional cultural hub.”
He added:
“This event is about creating regular opportunities for our community to connect, celebrate, and immerse themselves in Afro-Latin culture. We welcome everyone—from seasoned dancers to the simply curious—to join us for a night of unforgettable music and dance.”
