BNI, one of Nairobi’s most dynamic business networking communities, will host an exclusive Financial Literacy Dinner on Friday, 7th November 2025, at the Movenpick Hotel, Nairobi.

Themed “Money, Money Everywhere, and Nothing in the Pocket,” the event seeks to spark open and honest conversations around financial literacy, wealth management, and purposeful giving, while also raising funds to support the rehabilitation and education of street children through the Kids2Kids program.

The Financial Literacy Dinner is inspired by a growing concern among Kenya’s professionals and entrepreneurs who, despite high earning potential, often struggle with managing personal finances, debt, and long-term investments.

According to the Standard & Poor’s Global Financial Literacy Survey, only 38 percent of Kenyan adults are financially literate, while more than 60 percent of urban middle-income earners have little or no savings.

“Many hardworking professionals know how to make money, but not necessarily how to manage or multiply it,” said Mr. Muraguri, BNI Kenya National Director. “Through this dinner, we want to inspire conversations about wealth, purpose, and stewardship, to help people not just earn more, but live and give with intention.”

The dinner will bring together over 150 guests, including business leaders, financial experts, philanthropists, and C-suite executives from across Kenya’s private sector. The evening will feature, among others, an engaging financial literacy panel discussion and a silent auction to raise funds for Kids2Kids.

Proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Kids2Kids, a ministry under ACK Christ Church Westlands, which rescues, rehabilitates, and reintegrates street children from informal settlements such as Kangemi, Kibagare (Mishegwe), and Kawangware.

The program provides rescued children with food, education, mentorship, and emotional and spiritual guidance, helping them rebuild their lives and reintegrate into formal education. “Every contribution during this dinner will help feed, educate, and empower a child to start a new chapter in life. Our goal is to transform not just individual lives, but entire generations.” Added, Mr. Muraguri.

Business Network International (BNI) is the world’s largest business referral organization, with over 300,000 members across more than 70 countries. Built on the philosophy of “Givers Gain,” BNI empowers members to grow their businesses by helping others succeed.

The Financial Literacy Dinner promises to be a night of inspiration, connection, and impact, reminding professionals that true prosperity lies not only in financial success but also in purposeful giving.
