Sophos announced a significant integration today, making its Sophos Endpoint security solution a native, automatic feature within all Taegis™ Extended Detection and Response (XDR) and Taegis Managed Detection and Response (MDR) subscriptions. This move follows Sophos’ acquisition of Secureworks in February 2025 and is designed to provide customers with a more unified and cost-effective cybersecurity platform.
The integration combines prevention, detection, and response capabilities into a single platform, eliminating the need for customers to purchase a separate endpoint security product. According to Sophos, this will not only lower licensing costs but also simplify management and accelerate threat mitigation.
“Integrating Sophos Endpoint with Taegis delivers a best-in-class unified protection, detection, investigation, and response platform—while also reducing customer costs,” said Raja Patel, Chief Product Officer at Sophos. “Too many organizations still treat endpoint protection like a commodity, and that’s exactly the mistake attackers are counting on.”
Patel emphasized that Sophos Endpoint’s prevention-first approach, with features like CryptoGuard anti-ransomware protection and Adaptive Attack Protection, is a “game changer for enterprises managing thousands of devices” by stopping attacks before they can escalate.
Despite the deep integration, Taegis will remain an open platform. This allows organizations to continue using their preferred endpoint protection solutions from other vendors like CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and SentinelOne, ensuring they can maximize their existing cybersecurity investments and maintain flexibility.
The move expands on the value for both customers and partners. For organizations, it offers stronger protection and reduced operational complexity. For channel partners, it creates new opportunities to help clients consolidate their security tools and strengthen their relationships with enterprise customers.
Chris Bell, Senior Vice President of Global Channel, Alliances and Corporate Development at Sophos, highlighted the dual benefit. “By including Sophos Endpoint in Taegis, organizations gain stronger protection, reduced costs and simplified operations. For partners, it creates new opportunities to help customers consolidate tools, drive renewals and expand enterprise relationships.”
This integration marks a key milestone in combining the strengths of Sophos and Secureworks to help businesses combat the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats.
