CIB has launched a campaign in Kenya to showcase its presence in Kenya and its services for those conducting business between the two countries and the wider East Africa region.
In January 2023, CIB Egypt anchored its regional presence by acquiring the outstanding 49% stake in CIB Kenya (formerly Mayfair-CIB), making it the first fully owned subsidiary of the Egyptian group.
CIB Kenya serves as a gateway to sub-Sahara Africa for CIB and the Egyptian market. The strategy for the Kenya subsidiary focuses on trade finance activities, digital banking solutions, and growing the Egypt-Kenya trade corridor to enable Egyptian corporates and SMEs to operate in the economic hub of Eastern Africa.
The campaign will utilize out-of-home (OOH) media and digital channels and will run throughout Kenya this Spring. The campaign will promote CIB Kenya’s diverse offerings and tailored financial solutions.
Out-of-Home Strategy: Owning Kenya’s Streets:
This campaign will feature compelling billboards in prime locations in Kenya reintroducing the brand into the Kenyan market and highlighting that CIB’s products and services are now available in the African market.
CIB Creates a Buzz on Social Media:
To complement the OOH rollout, the campaign will also entail targeted social media advertisements launched across the banks’ social media platforms, including Meta and LinkedIn. Furthermore, digital elements such as Google Search and Google Display will be integrated into the campaign to drive traffic. To enhance reach and engagement, the campaign’s content will be tailored to the Kenyan audience using interactive tools and bilingual content.
