Coca-Cola is reviving its legendary “Share a Coke” campaign, reintroducing the magic of personalized connections and inviting a new generation to join in. Originally launched in 2011, this groundbreaking campaign replaced the Coca-Cola logo with people’s names, setting a new standard for brand personalization. Now, Coca-Cola is encouraging everyone to share a Coke with friends, celebrate friendships, and create lasting memories.
A Campaign Built on Real Connections
In a digital-first world, where 72% of Gen Z seek authenticity in their interactions*, Coca-Cola recognizes the power of real-life moments. While social media keeps us connected, it’s those in-person experiences—laughter, shared stories, and spontaneous moments—that truly strengthen relationships.
“Share a Coke” is all about celebrating friendships and the spaces that make these moments possible, said Monique Katana, Director of Frontline Marketing, Coca-Cola Kenya. “The simple act of sharing a Coke brings people together, turning everyday interactions into unforgettable experiences.”
Bringing People Together Across Borders
As part of a groundbreaking initiative across Kenya and Uganda, Coca-Cola is hosting a landmark dual-campus event at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and Makerere University Business School (MUBS). Using a real-time virtual portal, students from both universities will connect across borders, sharing their Coke moments and experiencing the campaign’s magic firsthand.
Nationwide Experiences & Personalized Bottles
For the next three months, Coca-Cola fans can participate in immersive experiences at malls, universities, popular eateries, and social hotspots across Kenya. These activations will include interactive games, giveaways, and exclusive personalized bottles, making each encounter a moment to remember.
Fans can also share their #ShareaCoke moments on TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), turning simple interactions into cherished memories.
Starting this week, personalized Coca-Cola bottles and cans will be available nationwide at supermarkets, entertainment venues, and select locations.
The Share a Coke campaign is back—bringing real connections, real memories, and real magic.
