Nairobi, Kenya, March 26, 2025 – Nairobi is set to welcome public relations professionals, industry leaders, and global stakeholders for Africa Global PR Week 2025, scheduled from August 26 to 29, 2025.
The event, which is expected to be Africa’s largest PR summit, will bring together governments, businesses, brands, and communications experts to shape the future of public relations on the continent.
The summit kicks off on August 26 with a PR Challenge, a dynamic competition for university students and young professionals to test their creativity and strategic thinking in public relations.
The main conference will follow from August 27 to 29, featuring panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities aimed at redefining Africa’s PR landscape.
Organizers emphasize that the role of PR has evolved beyond storytelling to becoming a strategic tool for trust-building, dialogue, and community empowerment.
With Africa experiencing rapid urbanization, digital transformation, and economic growth, the summit aims to amplify the continent’s narrative on the global stage while tackling challenges like misinformation, reputation management, and global competitiveness.
“Africa Global PR Week 2025 is a platform for change, where Africa’s unique stories will be told to the world, and global professionals will come together to create the next chapter in PR,” said a spokesperson from the organizing committee.
The summit will explore key industry trends, including AI-driven PR strategies, digital media’s rising influence, corporate social responsibility, and the growing impact of African PR agencies. It will also serve as a stage to celebrate African brands and professionals through an award ceremony recognizing excellence in PR and communications.
Global and African PR thought leaders will take center stage, including Paul Holmes (Founder & Chair, Provoke Media & SABRE Awards, USA), Lorenzo Brufani (Founder & CEO, Competence, Italy), Stacey Mtika (Founder, Tide Media Consultancy, Zambia), Mary Njoki (Founder & CEO, Glass House PR, Kenya), and Dorothy Ooko, among others.
The summit is backed by key industry organizations, including the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO), The Comms Avenue, Comms of Africa, and the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA). These partnerships will foster collaboration and innovation while elevating African PR practices to global standards.
Under the theme “Redefining PR, Redefining Africa,” the event will position public relations as a powerful force in shaping Africa’s identity, driving sustainable development, and strengthening international partnerships.
With over 100 CEOs, 150+ exhibitors, and 50+ expert speakers from more than 30 countries, Africa Global PR Week 2025 is set to be a landmark event in the evolution of PR across the continent.
Beyond discussions and networking, attendees can also experience Kenya’s Great Migration Safari in Maasai Mara, offering an immersive cultural and natural adventure.
The summit promises to be a transformative experience, reinforcing Africa’s place in the global PR industry and setting the stage for a new era of strategic communications on the continent.
