Carrefour, operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Kenya, has launched the country’s first 24/7 express grocery delivery service, offering unmatched convenience to customers in Nairobi, Diani, and Nyali. This innovative service allows shoppers to purchase essential items between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. via the Carrefour app, with delivery within 60 to 90 minutes at no extra cost.
A New Standard in Convenience
As demand for round-the-clock shopping grows, Carrefour is redefining convenience by ensuring customers have access to over 15,000 products at any time of day or night.
Christophe Orcet, Regional Director – East Africa, Majid Al Futtaim Retail, emphasized the company’s dedication to customer-centric innovation:
“We understand that today’s consumers value convenience more than ever. The launch of our 24/7 delivery service is a direct response to the increasing demand for late-night shopping options. By expanding our digital capabilities, we are making everyday essentials more accessible, ensuring customers receive their orders quickly and affordably.”
Enhancing the Digital Shopping Experience
Since its e-commerce launch in 2020, Carrefour has continuously improved its app-based shopping experience by introducing smart features such as:
- ‘Wishlist’ to save favorite products
- ‘Buy Again’ tab for quick reordering
- Enhanced checkout, allowing users to add items without leaving the page
Award-Winning Innovation
Carrefour’s commitment to digital transformation was recognized at the 2024 eCommerce Day East Africa event, where the Carrefour app won the “Best Mobile Initiative Award”. This accolade underscores the retailer’s focus on innovation, affordability, and community impact.
With the introduction of Kenya’s first 24/7 grocery delivery service, Carrefour continues to push boundaries in retail, ensuring customers can shop whenever they need—delivering convenience at their fingertips, day or night.
