In a bold move to redefine exhibitions, the Africa Hair Market is set to introduce a groundbreaking shelf-based showcase model at the Sarit Expo Centre on March 22, 2025.
Organized by Africa Is A Planet in collaboration with Global Exhibitions Inc., this initiative offers a cost-effective and sustainable way for startups and small enterprises in haircare, skincare, beauty, and fashion to present their products.
Rather than traditional booths, exhibitors will display their products on well-lit flat shelves, incorporating QR-coded stickers for seamless customer engagement. This innovative setup lowers costs and fosters a collaborative exhibition environment.
“As KNCCI Nairobi Chapter, we are committed to creating opportunities that drive growth for SMEs, particularly in industries with significant potential for job creation and innovation. The Africa Hair Market offers an accessible platform for small businesses to connect, network, and thrive in a sustainable way,” said Christine Mwende, CEO of KNCCI Nairobi Chapter.
Supporting this vision, Edwin Masivo, Country Director of Global Exhibitions Inc., added, “At Global Exhibitions Inc., we are proud to support this game-changing initiative that aligns with our vision of inclusive business growth.”
Exhibitors, for just Ksh 2,300, will receive:
- A dedicated shelf to display their products.
- QR code stickers linking customers to their online platforms.
- Assistance from a sales representative for customer interactions.
- Professional product photography.
- A feature in the event’s video podcast and post-event catalogue.
The Africa Hair Market has already secured the backing of key industry stakeholders, including Joramlocks, the Gold Sponsor and a leader in hair solutions, and Domiana Mwangangi of Skin Sol, championing skincare innovation. Media personality and founder of Her Way Studios, Terry Muikamba, has also pledged her support, focusing on uplifting women-led businesses.
Adding further value, the event will feature the co-located financial literacy conference, Hela Storytellas, in its fifth edition. This year’s theme, “The Sharing Economy – Exploring How Shared Resources and Responsibilities Create the Best Value in Africa’s Business Landscape,” aims to equip attendees with crucial financial insights for success in the haircare, skincare, beauty, and fashion industries.
With an expected attendance of over 700 visitors, the Africa Hair Market promises unparalleled exposure and networking opportunities. More than just an exhibition, it represents a dynamic ecosystem of collaboration, value-sharing, and creativity, fostering sustainable growth for small businesses in Africa.
