African Banking Corporation (ABC Bank) was been recognized for its solid corporate governance practices at the Champions of Governance (COG) Award, organised by the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK).
ABC Bank was awarded in the Finance and Investment category during the Champions of Governance Awards, making it the seventh time the lender has been recognized for exhibiting good corporate governance practices since the awards were launched in 2010.
“This feat is a testimony of the Bank’s commitment to apply good governance principles and practices, embracing innovation and emerging knowledge in the field of corporate governance,” said ABC Group Managing Director Shamaz Savani.
The bank was the 1st runner up, under the Finance and Investment Category, in the latest edition.
The Champions of Governance Awards celebrates organisations and individuals that exhibit the highest standards of good governance practices, in line with ICPSK’s mission “To embed good governance practices that transform institutions and inspire professionals in order to be the premier centre of excellence in governance promotion and development in Africa”.
The latest award comes on the back of ABC Bank being awarded for its innovative financing solutions which have created long-term value for clients in the agricultural sector at the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI) Catalyst Awards.
