Raila: What It Will Take to be a leader at Nairobi County Assembly

Azimio la Umoja MCAs will now know their house leaders on Monday following a meeting that was held yesterday by Azimio leaders led by Raila Odinga.

The highly contested seat is majority leader post which has now become a two horse race between Abbas Khalif of South C and Peter Imwatok of Makongeni.

Raila says experience, loyalty and service to the party will be key.

“The majority seat is between Abbas and Imwatok what baba told us is that experience and service to the party will be paramount on who to be chosen as majority leader.we are expecting the final letter on Monday.” MCA in the meeting said.

For the chief whip position Kilimani MCA Moses Ogeto will square it with Odhiambo Majiwa of Babadogo.

“With Ogeto there is much tension but Jateso and Abbas Baba will have to think between money, service to the party Imwatok have done well in steering ODMs’ agenda in the Nairobi assembly.” He added.
